How we work
Approaches we use
Not all clinicians specialize in every approach listed. During matching, you'll be connected with a practitioner whose training and experience align with your specific needs.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
EFT is one of the most researched couples therapies in the world. It helps partners identify the negative interaction cycles that keep them stuck, and rebuild a secure emotional bond by expressing deeper needs and fears with each other.
Gottman Method Couples Therapy
Based on decades of research into what makes relationships succeed or fail, the Gottman Method builds friendship, manages conflict constructively and creates shared meaning — using practical, evidence-based tools.
Imago Relationship Therapy
Imago therapy explores how early childhood experiences shape our adult relationship patterns. It uses structured dialogue to help partners understand each other more deeply and heal relational wounds together.
Attachment-Based Therapy
Attachment theory explains how our earliest bonds shape how we connect, trust and respond to closeness in adult relationships. This approach helps individuals and couples understand their attachment styles and build more secure connection.
Systemic Family Therapy
Systemic therapy views problems not as residing in one person, but as patterns within the whole family system. It explores roles, rules and communication dynamics to create lasting change for everyone involved.
Narrative Therapy
Narrative therapy helps individuals and families examine the stories they've constructed about themselves and their relationships — separating the person from the problem and reauthoring more empowering narratives.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS works with the different "parts" of ourselves — the inner critic, the protector, the wounded child — to reduce internal conflict and bring more compassion and clarity to how we show up in our relationships.
Communication Skills Training
Practical, structured skill-building in active listening, assertive expression, de-escalation and repair. Especially useful for couples and families who want concrete tools to change how they communicate day to day.
