Our Commitment
DOSE Wellness Group is committed to ensuring that our website and digital services are accessible to everyone — including people with disabilities. We believe that access to wellness information and care should not be limited by barriers, and we are actively working to make our digital presence as inclusive as possible.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as well as applicable Canadian accessibility standards including the Accessible Canada Act and provincial accessibility legislation.
What We Are Doing
We have taken the following steps to improve accessibility on our Site:
- Semantic HTML — We use proper heading structure, landmark regions, and semantic elements to support screen readers and assistive technologies.
- Keyboard navigation — All interactive elements, including navigation menus, forms, and modals, are operable by keyboard alone.
- Colour contrast — We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
- Alternative text — All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked appropriately.
- Focus indicators — Visible focus styles are present on all interactive elements.
- Responsive design — Our Site is designed to work across a range of devices and screen sizes, including mobile devices and tablets.
- Form labels — All form inputs are associated with descriptive labels to support assistive technology users.
- ARIA attributes — We use ARIA roles and attributes where appropriate to enhance the experience for screen reader users.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of our Site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are actively working to identify and address these gaps. Known areas we are improving include:
- Some third-party embedded content may not fully conform to accessibility standards.
- Certain interactive components (such as the therapist matching tool) are being reviewed for full screen reader compatibility.
- PDF documents linked from the Site may not be fully accessible — we are working to provide accessible alternatives.
Requesting Accommodations
If you require information or services in an alternative format, or if you need assistance accessing any part of our website or services, please contact us. We will do our best to provide the information or service in a format that meets your needs.
We also offer virtual care options that may be more accessible for individuals with mobility, transportation, or other barriers to in-person attendance.
Feedback and Reporting Barriers
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our Site. If you encounter a barrier, experience difficulty accessing any content, or have suggestions for improvement, please let us know. We take all accessibility feedback seriously and will respond within five business days.
To report a barrier or request an accommodation:
Please describe the barrier you encountered, the assistive technology or browser you were using (if applicable), and the page or feature affected. This helps us investigate and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Ongoing Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time effort. We conduct periodic reviews of our Site and update our practices as standards evolve. We are committed to continuous improvement and to ensuring that DOSE Wellness Group is a welcoming, barrier-free space for everyone.
