A healthier relationship with food
Our registered dietitians take a weight-neutral, non-diet approach — helping you build sustainable habits, manage health conditions and make peace with eating.
What is nutrition counselling?
DOSE nutrition services go beyond meal plans. Our registered dietitians work with you to understand the physical, emotional and social dimensions of your eating — and build an approach that is sustainable, enjoyable and aligned with your health goals. We reject diet culture and focus on long-term wellbeing.

Your care team
Who you'll work with
Registered Dietitians (RD)
The only regulated nutrition professionals in Canada. Our RDs are trained in medical nutrition therapy, eating disorder support and a non-diet, weight-neutral approach.
Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellors
Dietitians with additional training in the Intuitive Eating framework — helping clients reconnect with their body's hunger and fullness cues.
How we work
Approaches we use
Not all clinicians specialize in every approach listed. During matching, you'll be connected with a practitioner whose training and experience align with your specific needs.
Non-Diet Approach
Rather than prescribing restriction or "good" and "bad" foods, the non-diet approach focuses on nourishment, satisfaction and long-term health — without the cycle of dieting and guilt.
Health at Every Size (HAES)
HAES is an evidence-based framework that decouples health from body size. It prioritises health-promoting behaviours over weight loss, and respects body diversity as a natural part of human experience.
Intuitive Eating
Developed by registered dietitians, Intuitive Eating helps you reconnect with your body's natural hunger and fullness signals — rebuilding trust with food after years of dieting or restriction.
Mindful Eating
Mindful eating brings present-moment awareness to the experience of food — slowing down, noticing flavours and sensations, and reducing the emotional reactivity that often drives overeating or restriction.
Medical Nutrition Therapy
An evidence-based clinical approach that uses specific dietary interventions to manage or treat health conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, IBS and kidney disease — always tailored to the individual.
Motivational Interviewing
A collaborative, person-centred counselling style that helps you explore your own motivations for change — without judgment or pressure. Particularly useful when ambivalence about changing eating habits is present.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT techniques are used to identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns around food, body image and eating behaviours — especially effective for disordered eating and emotional eating.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT helps clients build psychological flexibility around food and body image — learning to observe difficult thoughts and feelings without letting them drive restrictive or compulsive eating behaviours.
